LotProof Privacy Policy

Marketplace Assistant for vehicle listings

Effective October 5, 2026

LotProof is a browser extension that helps a user transfer vehicle information and selected vehicle photographs from a dealership inventory page into a Facebook Marketplace vehicle listing for the user to review. LotProof never clicks Facebook's final Publish button.

Information LotProof handles

When the user chooses Scan this vehicle page, LotProof reads vehicle listing content from the active dealership page. This may include the page URL, vehicle year, make, model, trim, VIN, mileage, price, colors, engine, transmission, drivetrain, fuel type, body style, listing text, and vehicle photograph URLs.

LotProof stores the prepared vehicle packet and extension settings in Chrome's local extension storage on the user's device. The assistant panel loads on Facebook Marketplace pages and checks activation to retrieve the prepared packet. LotProof inspects and fills the vehicle-listing form when the user starts autofill.

How information is used

The information is used only to provide LotProof's user-facing purpose: preparing a vehicle listing for the user's review. LotProof may send a VIN to the United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's public vPIC API to cross-check basic vehicle attributes. Vehicle photographs are fetched directly from their existing source URLs so they can be cleaned and attached to the user's Marketplace form.

LotProof does not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility. LotProof does not transmit prepared listing data to the LotProof developer or to a LotProof-operated server.

Activation and subscription access

Paid features require a LotProof Pro activation key. The extension stores that key, a randomly generated installation ID, the organization name returned by the service, and a last-checked timestamp in Chrome's local extension storage. When you activate, open the popup, or load or refresh the Marketplace assistant, the extension sends the activation key and installation ID over HTTPS to LotProof's entitlement service at lotproof-inventory-truth.sinfullivingsupply.chatgpt.site. The service checks subscription status and available seats and returns the organization name and access status. No vehicle packet is included in these activation requests.

The subscription service associates installations and their creation and last-seen timestamps with the customer organization for access and seat enforcement. Checkout and billing are handled separately through Stripe; the extension does not collect card details. Service providers receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address when you make a request. This extension contains no advertising or analytics SDK.

Retention and deletion

The prepared vehicle packet remains in Chrome's local extension storage until it is replaced by another scan or removed through Chrome's extension-data controls or by uninstalling LotProof. Local activation data remains until extension data is cleared or the extension is uninstalled; uninstalling does not cancel a subscription or delete server-side account records. Contact Tadan@shiftupconsulting.com to request account or installation-record deletion. Billing records may be retained as needed for billing obligations. Facebook controls any information entered into Facebook, including drafts, under Facebook's own policies.

Data sharing

LotProof does not otherwise disclose or sell this information.

Security

Extension version 1.1.9 uses HTTPS for activation, VIN lookups and image downloads; image downloads omit cookies and reject redirects. Earlier versions may accept HTTP image URLs. The extension stores and transmits your LotProof activation key for access verification, but does not collect your Google or Facebook password, authentication cookies, or payment-card details.

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

LotProof's use of information received from browser permissions complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Information is used only to provide or improve LotProof's single user-facing purpose and is not transferred for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

User choices

Scanning and autofill occur only after the user initiates them. Users review scanned facts before approval and should inspect every field and attached photograph in Facebook before publishing. Image cleanup uses rules and may require manual correction. Users can remove LotProof's locally stored data through Chrome's extension controls or uninstall the extension at any time.

Changes

This policy may be updated as LotProof changes. The effective date above will be revised when material updates are made.
